Hawzah News Agency- Public Relations Director of the National Seminary Management Center Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Tayyeb Hosseini, delivered a speech in a specialized meeting called "Functions of Genealogy in Islamic History Studies" held at the 32nd International Exhibition of the Holy Quran in Tehran, saying,” Genealogy is among the oldest sciences that were prevalent among humans.”
The head of the seminary section of the International Quran Exhibition, pointed out that in the past, genealogy was the main basis for understanding humans, and said,” In the past, competence and efficiency were not considered, rather, they sought to identify individuals' clans to gain credibility.”
The Director of Public Relations of the Center for the Management of the Seminaries further noted that such issue has become less prominent in the present time, adding,” The Prophet of Islam and the pure Imams (PBUT) have validated this science, and with the efforts of a group of seminary researchers, we are seeking to revive this science.”
Hujjat al-Islam Tayyeb Hosseini, pointing out that the science of genealogy is not limited to Islam, reminded,” In all sects and religions, special attention has been paid to the science of genealogy.”
The Director of Public Relations of the Center for the Management of the Seminaries noted, “we have registered the first official seminary institute for genealogy in Iran; Al-Dhoriyyah Research Institute for proving the chain of heredity, proving the lineage, and proving the family tree is at the service of those interested in this subject.”
